Entrepreneur of Eco-Friendly Handcrafted Products

My name is Regina Bartee.  I went to college and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Computer Animation with graphic design minor and later pursued my Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing. My business goal is to use my graphic design skills in a creative way that involves the use of fabric and market to the right target audience who desires both sustainable and eco-friendly handmade products.

My love of fabrics and sewing derived from my mother.  I used to watch her make quilts by hand and she used to cut up her clothes as the fabric to make quilts for the family.  She later shared her knowledge with me on the different kinds of fabrics, threads, needles, and later the sewing machine. Due to her being visually impaired, she couldn't show me how to operate one and advised me to watch a video on how to operate a sewing machine. One piece of advice she told me was “you control the pedal like you are driving a car. The sewing machine will move your fabric, but you can also help it by guiding it with your hands.” Just that piece of information made me want to understand how to use a sewing machine.  I was able to go from a basic sewing machine to an industrial machine, which is what I use to sew my products.

Making customized and handmade products is a deep passion that I have and want to share with the world. I enjoy drafting my own patterns as well as using the right materials to make my vision into a reality.  The products I enjoy making are totes, cosmetic bags, and other accessories that can be used by people daily. Providing quality products is my top priority and making sure my customers are left with a lasting product.
